Introducing: HURTS

As the weekends usually tend to be quite slow in the pop music world, I'm taking this time to introduce a duo I've been meaning to post about. English electronic duo from Manchester, HURTS which include Theo Hutchcraft (lead vocalist) & Adam Anderson (electronics & guitar). They started developing some buzz late last year and I've remained interested since. In May the duo released their first single in the UK "Better Than Love" and managed a Top 50 peak. Now onto my current obsession their second single "Wonderful Life" which will be officially released in the UK on August 16th!! You can watch the even more amazing music video below as well. Mike Posner - Bow Chicka Wow Wow

Singer-songwriter-producer Mike Posner is getting ready to release his debut album "31 Minutes to Takeoff" on August 10th! His first single "Cooler Than Me" is currently #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has already been certified platinum. Posner has announced that fans will be able to listen to his debut album over a week in advance of release on MySpace Music & SIRIUS XM this Sunday! Here we have one of the album tracks titled "Bow Chicka Wow Wow" produced by The Smeezingtons, which you can check out below. Robyn - Dancing On My Own (Live @ iHeartRadio)

Last night thanks to some great blogger friends MuuMuse & Sheena Beaston I was able to attend a private showcase by Robyn for iHeartRadio. Which was taped at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater in Tribeca (NYC). She performed a consistently effortless set of seven songs for the crowd of lucky fans. I enjoyed every second of it and am now even more excited for when I attend the All Hearts Tour with both Robyn & Kelis hits NYC next week!

As mentioned earlier Usher will be releasing a new EP titled "Versus" on August 24th!! The set will contain seven new songs and will also be released as a special deluxe version of "Raymond V. Raymond." First single "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" is already off to a good start debuting at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100. Here we have what is set to be the second single "Hot Toddy" produced by Polow da Don. The Jay-Z assisted track will impact urban radio on August 9th! Maroon 5 - Live @ the Beacon Theatre (Fuse)

Tonight on Fuse at 9pm/8c Maroon 5 will be playing live at the Beacon Theatre in New York! I will be attending the show so I wanted to make sure all of you tuned in to watch what I'm sure will be a great set. Check out three new promotional photos for Katy Perry's sophomore album "Teenage Dream" due out August 24th!! I wasn't the biggest fan of the wig but I'm totally digging it in these new colorful promos. Second single "Teenage Dream" is already on it's way to becoming her next big hit as it currently sits at #3 on iTunes and is quickly impacting radio. The song is addicting.

Ne-Yo - Hurt Me

Ne-Yo is getting ready to release his fourth studio album "Libra Scale" on September 21st!! Current singles "Beautiful Monster" and "Champagne Life" both seem to be impacting well and climbing the billboard charts every week. Lead single "Beautiful Monster" is just about to crack the Top 50 while "Champagne Life" is doing it's thing on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Song chart (#18). Here we have a brand new track set to be on the album titled "Hurt Me" produced by Stargate. ALi's Blog: 4 Year Anniversary!

I do not even know where to begin but yes, today ALi's Blog is officially 4 years-old! THAT'S CRAZY! I was just a teen when I started blogging and I didn't think anything would ever come of it. Fast forward to now and I couldn't be more grateful for all that has happened. When I think of the artists I've interviewed, the people I've met, and the events I've attended because of the site... It all becomes very overwhelming and for that I am forever thankful.

I first want to thank all of you who have been with the site since the very beginning, to those who are new visitors, to all my loyal followers who shared the site with others and just THANK YOU SO MUCH! You the readers/visitors keep the site alive!

British singer-songwriter Jay Sean is getting ready to release his fourth studio album due out November 2nd!! After the success of singles "Down" and "Do You Remember" he quickly began work on a follow-up. Here we have the first single titled "2012" which features collaboration queen Nicki Minaj. The song is a upbeat pop/r&b track which is set to impact radio on August 3rd! The video directed by Erik White is set to premiere a few days later on August 8th! Ace of Base - All For You

If you haven't already heard The Swedish pop sensation Ace of Base are back! The line up has changed and now features two new vocalists Clara Hagman and Julia Williamson. They may have gained two new vocalists but they haven't lost their touch just yet. Here we have the official first single "All For You" from the new album due out in October (UK)!
